Who can attend Camp Fowler’s summer camp?
- Camp Fowler is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment where campers from diverse backgrounds can learn, grow, and have fun. Our day camp is open for youth ages 6-14 and our overnight camp is available for young people ages 8-14.

When was Camp Fowler established?
- The camp was built in 1944 and was originally known as Camp Horseshoe
- Valley Youth House bought it in 2004 and Camp Fowler was born
Who owns and operates Camp Fowler?
- Camp Fowler is owned and operated by Valley Youth House, a nonprofit organization whose vision is that every young person belong to a nurturing community.
When is summer programming?
Camp Fowler will be hosting seven summer camp sessions from June 24th to August 5th.
- Session 1 (Day Camp): June 24th-June 28th
- Session 2 (Overnight Camp): July 1st-July 4th
- Session 3 (Overnight Camp): July 8th-July 11th
- Session 4 (Day Camp): July 15th-July 19th
- Session 5 (Overnight Camp): July 22nd-July 25th
- Session 6 (Day Camp): July 29th-August 2nd
- Session 7 (Day Camp): August 5th-August 9th
What are the hours of camp?
- Day Camp: Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm
- Overnight: Arrival 9:00 am- Monday to Departure: 1:00pm Thursday
- includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack
Is there transportation provided?
- Yes, currently we offer busing, if needed:
- Bus from Bethlehem 8:15am (exact location TBD)
- Bus from Allentown 8:45am Trexler Middle School
Is there a cost to participate?
- We try to make Camp Fowler affordable and accessible to all, so pricing is tiered based on household income:
- There is a $50 non-refundable deposit for each registration
- Over $85K*: Day Camp $395 | Overnight Camp $825
- $50k-$85K*: Day Camp $231 | Overnight Camp $495
- Under $50K: Scholarship eligible
- *Sibling discounts available
- Extenuating circumstances can also qualify for scholarships
- We ask families who receive scholarships to register for no more than 2 sessions

What are the accommodations and recreational facilities like at Camp Fowler?
- Camp Fowler has new climate-controlled cabins, an ADA accessible pool, and a dining hall
- Camp Fowler has an archery range, high and low ropes courses, sports fields, a gaga pit, basketball courts, nature trails, the Jordan Creek and more!
What is the food like at Camp Fowler?
- Camp Fowler provides nutritious meals served in the dining hall.
- This year we are adding a salad bar which will include items from our own garden
What is the staff-to-camper ratio at Camp Fowler?
- The staff-to-camper ratio at Camp Fowler is typically 1:6.
I heard that some of the counselors come from other countries, is that true?
- Yes! We have international counselors who, literally, come from all over the globe to join the Camp Fowler team. This year we have counselors coming from: Scotland, Nigeria, Turkey, Finland, Mexico, England, Zambia, and Uganda.
Are campers allowed to bring cell phones and other electronics?
- At Camp Fowler, we have a no cell phone and electronics policy to encourage campers to fully immerse themselves in the camp experience and connect with nature and each other. This policy helps create a more authentic camp environment, where campers can focus on building relationships, participating in activities, and enjoying the outdoors without distractions. It also promotes a break from screen time, allowing campers to experience the benefits of unplugging and being present in the moment. NOTE- campers can “check-in” their phones with the Camp Director where they will be secured in a locked drawer. These campers will have limited access to communicate with family.
