York County Crisis Intervention Team: What to do if you’re in a crisis or know someone who is having a Mental Health Crisis.

  • Call 911.
  • Provide the dispatcher with any information pertaining to mental health diagnosis, medications and/or treatment of the consumer.
  • Ask for a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer to be dispatched.

Victims of child abuse, domestic abuse and other crimes against vulnerable Pennsylvanians can still receive help during the state’s COVID-19 response.

  • All major medical, Affordable Care Act (ACA)-compliant plans, including those available through www.healthcare.gov, should cover medically appropriate COVID-19 diagnostic testing and associated treatment. Many insurers have announced that they will cover medically appropriate COVID-19 testing without any copays, deductibles, or cost-sharing for consumers.

    • If you are employed in Pennsylvania and are unable to work because of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), you may be eligible for Unemployment or Workers’ Compensation benefits. The Department of Labor & Industry will continue to provide important employment benefit updates as the situation evolves.

  • PPL Electric Utilities:
    • OnTrack offers a lower, fixed monthly bill and debt forgiveness for customers who make 150 percent of the poverty level or less.
    • Operation HELP is funded by our company, employees and customers, and can assist customers who make 200 percent of the federal poverty level or less. Grants help pay customer heating bills, including oil or gas heat. PPL Foundation recently donated an extra $500,000 to Operation HELP.   • Comcast’s Internet Essentials program will be offered free for 60 days to new customers. Customers are eligible to receive Internet Essentials if they are eligible for public assistance programs such as the National School Lunch program, Medicaid or SNAP and live in a Comcast service area. Furthermore, Comcast has pledged not to disconnect a customer’s service or impose late fees if they can’t pay their bills during the pandemic.
