Program Info
Program Description: The Lehigh Valley Host Homes program connects youth who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability with volunteer homes. This includes individuals who are living transiently with extended family or other adults or who are living on the street, in shelters, in out-of-home care, or in other unstable or temporary housing situations. Available in areas surrounding Lehigh County and Northampton County.
Services include:
- Recruitment and training to Host Home individuals/families
- Background checks for Host Home individuals/families, ensuring the safety of the relationships between Host Home providers and youth
- Case management for youth to help them maintain stable housing after the conclusion of services
- 24-hour on-call crisis support for Host Homes individuals/families
