How VYH Utilizes Trauma Informed Strategies for those Impacted by Violence

Valley Youth House’s LVSTAR (Lehigh Valley Staff and Teens Against Racism) hosted the 3rd Annual George Floyd Memorial Walk at the Rose Garden Pavilions in Allentown.

We were joined by guest speaker, VYH Board of Governors member, Dr. Christopher Hunt, Vice President and Dean for Equity and Inclusion at Moravian College, and shared 8 minutes and 46 seconds of silence together in honor of George Floyd and all Black victims of police brutality.

The event served as a powerful reminder that we must continue the conversation and work toward eradicating systemic racism and police brutality from our society. Valley Youth House is committed to amplifying and uplifting the voices of marginalized communities, and advocating for meaningful change.
