The Center for Engagement

															Our Promise
At Valley Youth House, we believe that respect for individuality and a welcoming environment are key to achieving our mission. We value the different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of our team members, clients, and partners.
We are committed to treating every person with dignity and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated. Our agency is dedicated to fostering a culture that recognizes the unique contributions, skills, and perspectives that each individual brings to our programs and our work.
We believe that valuing individual strengths leads to greater satisfaction, innovation, and growth while promoting a supportive and empowering environment. As an agency, we are dedicated to standing for fairness and justice.
With this in mind, we are taking the following steps to promote kindness and opportunity for all.
Listen With Our Hearts
By providing safe spaces for people to share their experiences, we will build understanding and compassion for each other as a foundation for our continued work
Plan With Our Heads
We will work with youth and community leaders to develop an annual strategy to address issues of engagement, both within our agency as well as in our local communities.
Speak Up With Our Voices
We will actively speak out and address acts of racism, racist comments, and racist practices, policies, and procedures while advocating for the youth we serve.
