On December 22nd, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and their incredible volunteers delivered 12,099 teddy bears and stuffed animals to our High Point Boulevard office, all of which were collected during the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game at the PPL Center in Allentown on December 20th, 2025.
Watching the Phantoms staff and players arrive driving a box truck stuffed to the brim with stuffed animals was a powerful moment for our team. These are more than toys. They are sources of comfort for young people in our community who are facing difficult and uncertain situations. From children in foster care to youth experiencing homelessness or other crises, each bear represents the care, kindness, and reassurance of our community.
This year’s collection set a new record and followed last season’s total of 11,853 bears. Since the Teddy Bear Toss began in 2014, more than 80,000 stuffed animals have been donated to support youth served by Valley Youth House.

Every bear tossed from the stands reflects a community that shows up for young people when they need it most. That generosity will be felt directly by the youth and families we serve, especially during a season when warmth and connection mean so much.
We are deeply grateful to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms organization, their players, staff, and fans whose generosity made this possible.
From all of us at Valley Youth House, thank you for helping bring comfort, joy, and hope to so many young people this holiday season.
