VYH Honored as 2025 Lehigh/Northampton Counties Friend of Education Award Recipient

At Valley Youth House, our mission has always been to open doors for young people and their families, creating pathways to stability, success, and empowerment. This month, we were deeply honored to be recognized with the 2025 Lehigh/Northampton Counties Friend of Education Award — a moment that not only celebrates our work but also reaffirms the critical role that community partnerships play in the lives of young people.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it highlights the incredible impact of our school-based counseling program, which has become a vital resource for students across Lehigh and Northampton Counties. Through partnerships with local schools, our school-based counselors meet young people where they are, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and succeed both in and out of the classroom. It is the dedication of our school-based counseling staff — and the trust placed in us by educators and families — that made this award possible.

We are also proud to share that Rosalie Moyer, a longtime member of our Valley Youth House team, was honored with a separate award for her outstanding commitment to education and student well-being. Her work exemplifies the spirit of service, integrity, and leadership that drives our entire organization.

For decades, Valley Youth House has stood alongside schools, educators, and community partners to ensure that every young person — regardless of their circumstances — feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is woven into every program and service we offer, from housing and life skills training to mental health support and leadership development.

Receiving the Friend of Education Award is a profound honor. It reflects the belief that supporting youth well-being is inseparable from supporting their educational journeys. We are grateful to the Easton Area Education Association and all of our partners who share this vision. This recognition inspires us to continue building a community where every young person has the opportunity to thrive — in school, in life, and beyond.

Thank you for believing in our youth. Thank you for believing in Valley Youth House.
