Valley Youth House is in Need of Mentors!

If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity and a meaningful way to make a difference, Valley Youth House is in need of mentors!

Featured on WFMZ, our Mentoring programs serve adolescents who have involvement with the foster care system. We help them form mentoring relationships with caring adults who support them in improving their well-being and ability to create/maintain positive relationships. Mentoring is about sharing knowledge, time and resources through a healthy relationship. A mentor offers consistent, positive support and a strong foundation in a young person’s life. This is an opportunity for you to establish a permanent supportive connection with them!

Here are some current mentees in the Lehigh Valley area looking for a match:

-A mentee who lives in the Breinigsville area looking for a female mentor. This mentee is looking for someone who may be able to teach her another language.

-A mentee in the Emmaus area looking for a female mentor. They would, one day, like to become a nurse. They would also like to have someone to talk to.

-A mentee in the Allentown area looking for a female mentor. She is about to have a baby so the mentor must love babies! Something she would like to get back into is horseback riding!

-A mentee in the Bethlehem area looking for a male mentor. They want to volunteer at an animal shelter, especially with dogs.

-A mentee in the Bath area looking for a male mentor. He would like a mentor in the automotive industry because he wants to become a mechanic.

-A mentee in the Easton area looking for a male mentor. He one day would like to become a barber and learn more about that job.

If you or somebody you know would make a good match for one of these youths, please reach out to Arianna Stoudt at astoudt@valleyyouthhouse.org.
